Travellers Series 17 & 18 ” The Grand Finale!” Lincoln 4th & 5th November

So the season closer is scheduled for Lincoln MYC in the midlands  over the weekend of the 4th and 5th of November.

Whilst it seems that Tushy has the series sewn up there is all to play for in the lower podium places with any number of skippers in the running for a box of chocolates.

Rules – Racing will the governed by the rules as defined in the RRS, MYA Standard Sailing Instructions, the current HMS, Dragonforce 65 & Dragonflite 95 Class Rules.

Closing Date: 1800 Thursday 2ND  November  After that time late entries may be accepted only at the
discretion of the Organizing Authority.

Racing – This is a dual class weekend. The DF65s will race on Saturday (Round 17 of the DF Racing UK TT Series) and DF95s will race on Sunday (Round 18 of the DF Racing UK TT Series).

Entry – Please contact Ed Whittaker whittakeredward@googlemail.com  by email at with confirmation of sail number, home club, MYA number, emergency contact details, radio frequency and which days you will be sailing. Please indicate whether you will require lunch which will be soup and French bread on both days. Also there will be an Informal get together in the Railway pub on Saturday night, If you wish to eat at the pub you will need to book for a table Telephone 01522 681499

Additional competitor information – The competitor shall on registration at the event provide a telephone number to be used in case of emergency.

Some people remember last years event at the same time so bring warm clothing, that will also keep you dry

Entry fee: £ 5.00  per day payable at registration on the day.

Boat Inspection – The Race Committee may at any time inspect any boat to ensure compliance with the Class Rules and random checks may be made throughout the event.

Friday 13th October

  • 13.00     The lake will be open for practice. No Refreshments will be available
  • 16.00     The club will be closed.

                Saturday 14th October. DragonForce 65

  • 09.45     Race briefing
  • 10.00     First race
  • 16.00     No heat will start after 16.00; any race in progress at 16.30 will be abandoned

                Sunday 15th October. DragonFlite 95

  • 09.15     Race briefing
  • 09.30     First race
  • 15.30     No heat will start after 15.30; any race in progress at 16.00 will be abandoned

Parking-.  Parking on the grass at the water’s edge as normal on the East Bank.

Launching–  Via multiple Landing stage’s; no need for boots, but it could be slippery when wet so take care

Club house. Cosy but don’t expect central heating to be on. Even if you can get inside it .

Lunches-.  Liz’s lovely hot lunches will not be available Sorry but we should be doing fresh bacon butties on both days and there will be soup and French bread available for a very modest cost.

Accommodation Check our website for all accommodation in the area including camping. The railway has room for a few camper vans book early to avoid disappointment.
