So 32 skippers pitched up this morning for a light wind day of racing at the Eastbourne club with DF95’s being the boat of choice today.
Results above and congratulations to race team and skippers alike. Everyone had fun and we are all on our way home now.
Full report to follow early next week after an 7 hour trek home and some sleep.
It was a tough day at the office for both race team and skippers. Both did great work in challenging conditions. Light breeze filled and allowed us 22 races. Tush first by some margin. Ken and Snackers separated by two point in second and third with Wayne ‘I can see France from here’ Stobbs some way back in fourth. Highlight of the day was Jim la Roche winning his first DF race, swiftly followed by another win. Great job Jim. Thanks to Jez and his race team, to get so many races in conditions like we had was excellent, well done.
95’s tomorrow, 10am kick off. Drink and food now….in that order.
The final TT’s of our shortened 2021 season have now gone live on the MYA online entry system and we also have an event page for the two days of racing which will happen over the weekend of the 13 – 14 November. Head over to the event page by clicking here and get your entry in!
In 2020 this was the only TT event to actually happen and it’ll be good to get back to the club, hopefully it won’t be quite so brutal!
Meantime there is an elite band of sailors beginning to gather in Eastbourne for this weekend’s TT event.
So this week is raceweek once again. This time it’s DF TT 5 and 6 at Eastbourne. 20 entries for the 65 and 28 for the 95. There is still time to get an entry in, check out the event page here for details.
We’ll see you there.
