Some of you already knew, some didn’t but the cat was let out of the bag in fine style the other week regarding the new winch for the DF Racing yachts. There is a post with all the details on the DF World website. Clicky here to take a look.

Well I’d written it this morning, it took nearly an hour and then it’s gotten lost somehow. I hate technology sometimes and I’ve written a much much shorter report which is pretty crap compared to my usual work. Apologies for it but I need to crack on with real life now. Well, another day at Southport and another great day of racing for the 37 skippers. National champion Craig Richards took the win from a hungover Nigel Brown who had a storming day on the water. Tushy came in third.

True to form Southport and West Lancs YC have delivered us an awesome day. Varied breeze, corse changes aplenty and many great races have brought us to the end of the day. 35 skippers managed 9 races in some testing conditions for both skippers and race team.

Derek won the day with Buzz second and fleet newcomer Nick Martin in third.

We’ve had an email from Alan @ West Lancs YC who tells us that there is a bit of a do happening at the club on Friday evening from 1830 onwards. It’s an American evening where there will be cold beer, brisket and pumpkin pie on offer. No need to book, just turn up and get involved if you fancy it.

Just a few days now before we head to West Lancs YC for the final two rounds of the DF Racing UK 2021 TT Series. Whilst Tushy is assured of the top spot there are a number of other spots that are still very much up for grabs. There are also a few new DF skippers heading to the event and we look forward to seeing them on the startline.
