We have had a few entries come in for the first of the DF Racing 2017 TT Event at West Lancs YC but there is plenty of room for more on either day, the venue is great, the sailing will be great and the social will be….you guessed it…great so what are you waiting for!

Remember that this event will be 95’s Saturday and 65’s on Sunday as part of the popular ND winter series. You can choose to enter individual days or both depending on what you’ve got on.

The racing is bound to be fun and close and if we feed Mr Tushingham enough wine on Saturday evening he might struggle on the Sunday.

It’s that time of year again when we all get our game faces on and head over to West Lancs YC in Southport for the first of the DF65 ND Winter Series. It has to be far and away the most social and raciest winter series North of the Watford Gap.

It attracts skippers from far and wide including Welsh Wales, the Lake District and Yorkshire and is well worth a go, even if you’re a novice skipper. There is always plenty of friendly advice on hand from some of the countries best DF skippers.

The series is run alongside the RC Laser ND Winter Series and both classes run on the same course at the same time which means that mark roundings can be fun and it keeps your skills sharp with nearly 30 boats on the water at times.

Racing starts at 10am with bacon butties beforehand and lunch also available.

As if that isn’t enough to tempt you to have a go we have also opened the entry for the first of the 2017 DF Travellers Series which, you’ve guessed it, is taking place over the weekend of the 11th and 12th of February, with DF95 racing on the Saturday and DF65 racing on the Sunday as part of the Winter Series. Details of how to enter are available in the drop down menu on the events tab.

The weekend is particularly important as it is Tushys 60th and there will be an amusing social gathering on the Saturday evening at a local restaurant which will no doubt end up being messy…..perhaps a chance to beat him on the Sunday….
