Registrar Away

Morning folks, if you are new to either of the DF classes here in the UK and your are looking to register your boat with us to get a sail number then please be aware that Jen, our hard working registrar is having a holiday. Don’t panic, we’ve organised a stand in, Jim our Chair, and he will be getting stuck in to keeping up to date with the registration requests as they come in. There may be a short delay in your registration being completed so bear with us,

Have a great adventure Jen!

Sad News

Always sad to report the loss of a skipper, however this time I’m saddened to report the passing of Glen, the RC Yachts right hand man. Glen was usually your first point of contact when you called the business and he became a very knowledgeable chap about DF products. He was only 37 and leaves behind a young family who will miss him immensely.

Rest easy Glen.

News!

Afternoon folks, apologies for the radio silence, had a bit on lately. Anyhow, some events news for you. After a summer break we are heading towards the last of our scheduled DF Racing UK TT events to be held at Fleetwood MYPBC over the weekend of the 12th and 13th October. Full details can be found by clicking here.

A month or two back we had to take the decision to cancel the DF95 Nationals that were scheduled to be held at Keighley which was sad news as the entry was looking good. We have since been able to reschedule the event to take place at West Lancs YC over the weekend of the 9th and 10th November 2024, which is great news. Full details can be found by clicking here.

In other news, our Chairman Jim has been out and about and has found a new club. “I went to visit a new RC club, part of NSSC, at their inland water, Piddinghoe a few weeks ago. They sail DF95’s at the moment and have 9 members. It looks like a great water. I wish them luck with the club and maybe we’ll get to sail there in the future”. Welcome to the DF fleet!

Other than that, all seems well in the world of the UK DF Racing classes and we’ll see you pondside soon.
