DF95 Nationals Report

So we are back at base now and everyone has had a minute to catch their breath. Meantime Nigel Barrow has even had time to write a jolly good report on the event. Thanks Nigel. No overall scores for the series yet but when they arrive they will appear on the Results 25 page along with the report.

Huge thanks to EKRSC who put on a blinder of an event which was well thought out, well communicated, well attended and provided a great weekend of racing for the class. Top marks East Kent.

And the winner is….

A more dominant day from Tush saw him take the title by a single point from Craig with Peter Baldwin being the closest challenger some 21 points back.

Results below, report to follow. Congratulations to all that took part and huge thanks to the EKRSC team for a superb event.

Day one Results

A light wind day with a shifty beat made for great racing. Craig leads into the mid session by a handful of points. All to play for, can Craig hold his nerve or can Tush make the most of a booze free evening?

DF95 Nationals, Looking Good

So I arrived a day early and enjoyed a Thursday club sailing day with the EKRSC members on a beautifully prepared lake with no weed at all and some awesome C rig sailing conditions. Unfortunately it looks like we’ll need to tune another rig today as the breeze is looking much lighter for the racing.

Lots of social stuff planned for both nights, Friday night is curry night and Saturday is the event dinner at the event hotel.

Jim has sent some info out via email and there’s plenty of banter going on in the Whatsapp group too, tuning and light hearted racing from around midday today for those that can make it.

Event Reminders

First up we have the DF95 Nationals coming up, , currently 50 skippers will line up on the start at Barton’s Point in around 10 days time. If you’re not yet entered and want a spot then you have until the 23rd September to gget yourself sorted.

In other news t there is the upcoming M&S DF95 TT event being held at Eastbourne. If you want to get involved with that one please click here to take a look at the details on the MYA website.
