Coalhouse Countdown

We are less than a week away from rounds 3 & 4 of the DF Racing TT Series which will be rolling into Coalhouse Fort RYC on Saturday morning for a weekend of racing that promises to be just as close as last time round.  There are sure to be a couple of new winners once again with current Champ John Tushingham taking in some IOM Racing in Malta, leaving the door wide open for everyone else to get involved.

Speaking of getting involved please take a look at the NoR on the events page and get your entry in.

Early March Update

So as the weather gets better (does it?) there are plenty of events to be looking forward to, this coming weekend we have the Invicta Trophy taking place at Chipstead in Kent, next weekend 17th & 18th March we have the third and fourth rounds of the 2018 DF Racing TT series at Coalhouse Fort, a great venue and still plenty of time to ping an entry over to the organisers.

We’ve also had a mail from the guys at Gosport who are busy making sure that your 2018 DF65 National Championship goes smoothly and we get great breeze and sunny skies. They would like to remind you that there is still plenty of time to get your entry in for this event.  The entry list at the end of February stood at 29 skippers which is good for the first month of entries and with two months to go it would be reasonable to expect a few more skippers to come out of hibernation before the closing date.

You can view the entry list by clicking here.

You can check out the NoR and other essential info by clicking here.  One point that isn’t specifically mentioned in the NoR is Junior entry fees, these have been confirmed as £15 per junior skipper.

West Lancs Report & Results

What a diligent and good looking race team we had on Saturday…. Photo Anna McKone

So in what seems like record time I have written a report for this weekends event, and what a belting event it was too. Lots of skippers both newcomers and old salts in both classes, mixed weather, great racing, splendid social, what more do we need….another event just like it I guess!

Check out the link to the report and results by clicking here.

Two worthy winners

Just a quick note to let you all know that the DF Racing TT series kicked off in style this weekend with two great days of racing. Lots of new faces getting involved from all around the country, we hope you enjoyed your weekend!

New DF95 class skipper Chris Nichols from Scotland took the Saturday event top spot from Tushy who had some troubles through the day.

Sunday saw John Brierley sail a great light wind day to take a convincing points win.

Good job both of you, full results and report to follow as soon as I get five minutes.

DF65 Nationals Entry Opens and some other important stuff!

Whilst we’ve not had any notification from Gosport we have been keeping a beady eye on the MYA website and the entry for the DF65 Nationals is now open…..and I’ve entered. You too can enter by clicking here which will take you to the MYA online entry page where you can get yourself on the list.

The first round of the 2018 TT series kicks off on Saturday at West Lancs YC and with 32 entries for both days and some reasonable weather it looks like a great weekend coming up!

Finally we are getting towards the conclusion of the voting stage of the AGM. As a registered owner you should have had an email with details of the matters that need your input, if you’ve had it and not acted on it then please do so.

AGM Info Incoming

Very shortly you should receive an email into your inbox with details of how to vote on the matters in the DF Racing 2018 AGM. There isn’t lots to do but it would be really useful to have your vote counted. Watch your inbox!

Bit of a cockup, for those motorhomers trying to get in touch with Phil you will no doubt by now realised that the phone number was incorrect. I’ve corrected the NoR now and you should be able to make contact with him.  I have also updated the entry lists for both days with 19 for Saturday and 21 for Sunday so far.
