Entry for the 2024 DF65 Nationals at Gosport opened on Friday morning and there has been much interest in it. Entry is limited to 60 skippers and we are almost two thirds full with 37 entries already sorted and paid up. Looks like it could well be a sellout event so it might be sensible to get yourself over to the event page and stick your entry in before it’s too late.

In accordance with the 2024 AGM timeline the agenda was posted yesterday along with the relevant documents and of course the link to the all important voting form. A

No surprises we got to use the D rig on the DF95 for a whole afternoon today. Turns out it’s quite good fun!

So we stayed dry, there was wind but not too much and we didn’t get to eight races. Well done to all that came and got involved.

TT’s 1 & 2 are almost upon us and perhaps it is a good idea if we offer some advice to the skippers. The breeze looks like it will be up on both days so you will need something other than your A plus rig for Saturday and something other than your A rig for Sunday. I’m sure you’ve all spent the first half of this month diligently checking all your rigs, however I’d suggest double checking the smaller ones again and making sure your knots are really tight!

For the Southern skippers remember to bring thermal underwear and your big coat, possibly gloves and a woolly hat.

Forecasts currently suggesting mid to high 20 mph on Saturday and something biblical on Sunday.

Hot on the heels of the last event post about rounds 1&2 we now have details of rounds 3&4 at Blithfield SC. A new club for the TT series in 2024 we are looking forward to visiting.
