Manor Park DF95

So another day at the lakeside with a little bit of rain but a much more consistent breeze which made everyone’s job just that bit easier. Racing in one fleet there were lots of busy start lines to deal with but all the skippers were well behaved and it gave us 17 races.

Winner by a good few points was Tushy from Uncle Derek and Buzz.

Thanks to all at Manor Park for a great weekend, as we always say, these events couldn’t happen without such dedicated volunteers.

Manor Park DF65

So after lots of getting small rigs ready for this weekends racing it seems that once again the man upstairs has slowly dialled back the wind forecast for the weekend and we saw another day of A plus racing today. Lots of exciting racing with some truly enormous shifts up and down the course.

Buzz Coleman was the winner putting on a Tushyesque performance and taking 19 points from the ten races. Tushy was second with double the points, and Mick Chamberlain was just one point back in third spot.

See, Buzz can smile!

Scores on the doors.

DF95 tomorrow with the possibility of getting a B rig on the boat….maybe!

Manor Park Reminder

Remember folks we are just two weeks away from the next DF Racing UK TT weekend, we have had entry lists for both days and there are still a few regular names missing from the sheets…which reminds me I must put me entry in!

If you are thinking of entering then please do so, you’ll have a great weekend of racing and social and even if you are completely new to the sport you’ll get a whole heap of encouragement and tips from those seasoned skippers further up the board.

Entry lists posted on the event page.

DF95 Final Scores

So we’ve had the results from the DF95 Nationals, looks like it was super tight at the top with Derek and Buzz separated by a single point, 3rd to 5th were less than a handful of points apart too and its the same story down the board. Good work everyone in what weren’t ideal conditions. Check out the full score sheet here – DF95 Nationals final result V2  I’m sure someone will be along with a full report before too long.

Entry Closed

So there is a healthy entry of 35 skippers who will be taking in the air on top of the moors over the coming weekend. The full list of skippers is available on the Nationals page.  If you haven’t entered I’m sure a quick mail to PRO John Tushingham will get you a spot on the start line come Saturday morning.

Good luck to all those competing, I’m sure the racing will be great and the event will be very well run.

A Timely Reminder

Weecher 95

DF95’s racing at Weecher.

So we are hurtling towards the 2018 DF95 Nationals which are being held at the fantastic Weecher Reservoir up on Ilkley Moor, an ideal location if ever there was one. There are plenty of details of how to enter the event up on the Nationals page along with details of local places to stay.

Please get your entry in as soon as you can if you are thinking of going as the deadline for entries is looming.

A month after this event we have the next two rounds of the DF Racing UK TT Series which are being held at Manor Park SC just North of Birmingham. A great bit of water although the bank can become quite steep after some wine….ask Tushy.

Details are up on the Event page.

Two Islands Report

skippers-2is.jpg

After another blast home across the country followed by some Chinese food, another good nights kip and a bit of work we have a report on the weekend just gone at Two Islands RYC. If you weren’t there you really did miss out!

Check out the results page for a full rundown.

Two Islands day 2

Familiar story, some wind, very shifty, you could be hero to zero in less than half the beat, however it paid to play the averages. 32 skippers, at least three brand new (well done) JT first with the Priestley father and son team in second and third. Another great day by a pond with your mates. Results below, hopefully more of an HMS sheet soon. Thanks for having us Two Islands, another event to remember.
