The first two rounds of the 2023 DF Racing UK TT series are in the bag, there was lots of social, lots of catching up and even some racing as you can see from this lovely Sue Brown photo. Take a look at the Results 23 page for a full rundown of what went on.
A better day for the skippers that turned out with breeze all day in varying degrees from various directions. Some course resetting and some general recalls and we’ve managed 5 complete races.
Thanks again to all involved and we’ll get a full weekend report out over the next few days.
Results below, congrats to all of the 54 skippers who braved the chilly conditions at West Lancs.
So, a slow day today, a test for skippers and even more so for the race team. Too many course changes and a few too many general recalls along with the fickle conditions led to a race day with only four races.
These things happen however and most skippers had a good day on the water. Thanks to all the helpers and especially PRO Peter Baldwin who has dealt with everything that was thrown at him today.
Results below and 95’s tomorrow with a forecast of a little more wind….hopefully. Congratulations to everyone who got involved
So we are all ready to go at West Lancs YC for the first round of the 2023 TT series. It seems that we might be lacking a vital ingredient however…..the wind wasn’t booked so we are all stood around waiting for it to arrive. More news later.
This weekend sees the first round of the 2023 DF Racing TT series at West Lancs YC. We have a bumper entry for both days with 50 plus entries for both days. It seems that the weather gods might keep us dry but it doesn’t look too breezy and I’d advise a comfy chair and a good book.
Practice on Friday afternoon for anyone that’s around followed by a couple of quiet pints somewhere.
The 2023 DF Racing UK AGM concluded the other evening and the results have been published on the AGM 2023 page. Click here to take a look.. Thanks to all those that voted, good to see some of you getting involved.
We always enjoy a trip to the Lincoln Club, they always go that extra mile to make us feel welcome and we love the venue as much as the people who organise the racing. If you’ve never been to Lincoln RSC before then it’s well worth a trip out. The sailing water is great, the hospitality is superb and the racing is sure to be as close as ever. 65’s on Saturday 1st April (no joke) and 95’s on the 2nd April. Entry details are on the event page, click here to take a look.
Don’t forget that there’s just over 24 hours to cast your vote in this years DF Racing UK AGM. Voting closes at 1800 on the 17th February. Any votes cast after this time will not be counted but you may still be charged……!
