Seasons Greetings

It’s that time where we need to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a splendid new year. There is lots to looks forward to in the new year with plenty of DF class racing to be done, qualification for the 2026 DF95 Globals to be done.

If you fancy some racing during that bit of the year where you’re confused about what day it is then check out the Fleetwood Twixmas event, if you have a DF95 and an IOM you can race both days.

However, in the meantime please have a restful Christmas and new year from all of us here at the DFUK Class association.

AGM 2025

We are pleased to announce the 2025 DF Racing UK AGM and it’s timetable. There is a dedicated page in the menu which lays out what happens and when it should happen and how you can get involved.

We say this every year, it’s your association and if you have a suggestion or a strong view on something relating to the UK association then now is your time to speak up and be heard. You could even volunteer to get involved with the running of the association and run for one of the roles on the committee.

It is, sadly, unlikely that many of you will get involved in any of the process but perhaps 2025 is the year where we have a bumper vote…….

2025 DF Racing UK TT Calendar

Afternoon skippers, please get your laptop out and start booking hotels for next years TT series. It is a packed calendar with 14 rounds to improve your racing and try to beat the best skippers in the UK.

As many of you will be aware there is another DF95 Global Championship being held in South Africa in 2026 and the UK TT DF95 events held in the 2025 season will make up the DF95 ranking list of UK skippers for the event.

There are seven UK DF95 events in the 2025 calendar and your best four results will count towards your ranking.

The event is being held at Theewaters SC, two hours East of Cape Town over the 17 – 23 October 2026.

Whilst it’s a long way off you now know what you need to do to qualify for the event should you wish to take part.

M&S TT Series Results 2024

We’ve had news from the M&S district who have held a district TT series over the last few months. Jim La Roche has sent us the following report.

The inaugural M&S DF95 TT Series 2024 completed on Thursday 7th November 2024.

Congratulations go to series winner, Dave Adams from East Kent RSC, 2nd Mike Brand, also from East Kent and 3rd, Martin Crysell from Guildford MYC.

I’d like to thank the clubs – Hampton Court MYC, Guildford MYC, Eastbourne & District MYC, Chipstead SC RS, Gosport MYBC and East Kent RSC for hosting events and all the volunteers that helped run them. Thanks also go to the 66 skippers that entered the series. Whilst 52 entered at their own club, 29 of those made 61 journeys to other clubs.

It looks there will be 7 events next year with 5 to count. They will be on the MYA calendar soon. I hope to see good entries next year.
