We are nearly at the end of round 1 of entry for the 2023 Globals in Fleetwood. Pretty much all the allocated skipper spots are taken including a couple of wildcard entries.

The final up to date, end of season DF95 ranking list for 2022 has been published on the results 22 page. This list will form the basis of skipper offers for attendance at the 2023 Globals in Fleetwood. The first round offers will be out soon if they haven’t already gone.

Congratulations to everyone that took part to make the series as enjoyable and competitive as it was.

I’ve written a report on the weekend activities, you can check it out on the Results 22 page. It also contains the overall TT scores to the end of season but not the updated DF95 end of season score sheet.

So we’re at the end of season now and we’ve had another good day at Barton’s Point with the DF95’s on the water.

The wind arrived and we found ourselves racing all day in B rig with a long windward leeward course set from the point half way up the pond.

Tushy won the day with John Brierley in second with Buzz in third spot. Abersoch duo Jerry and Tim rounded out the top five.

The weekend is nearly upon us and it’s time to start getting excited about the DF Racing UK season finale at Barton’s Point.

It’s been a good season this year with a full calendar of racing all over the country at lots of familiar venues. This year we finish at a new one, Barton’s Point on the Isle of Sheppey. It’s a venue I’ve sailed at once before and if it blows it’ll really be a good race weekend…..I think it might blow a bit but I think we should miss most of the rain.

The venue is good with a great onsite cafe for sarnies and drinks throughout the weekend. Parking is plentiful so if you find yourself in the area then pop along and say hi.

Practice on Friday, DF65 Saturday, DF95 Sunday.
